Dr. Judit Puskas
Dr. Puskas received the 2017 Goodyear medal in recognition of her pioneering contributions to the synthesis and characterization of advanced elastomers for healthcare and other applications.
This is the highest honor bestowed on a scientist by the Rubber Division of the American Chemical Society.
Dr. Puskas’ idea of integrating breast cancer diagnosis and treatment with breast reconstruction was among five winners of a major international competition: The others were major cancer research centers (Vanderbilt University, the Moffit Cancer Center, the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center and the Uganda Cancer Institute).
She is now working with the Cleveland Clinic and Semmelweis Medical University to turn her dreams into reality.
